The Simple Root is Certified Plant Based

The Simple Root™ US product line of dips and cheese-style spreads has received the plant based certification from the Plant Based Foods Association, the country’s first and only trade association representing plant-based food companies.
When The Simple Root products debut in the US later this year, they will carry the Certified Plant Based® seal. To become certified, products are independently reviewed and verified by the global public health and safety organization NSF International. There are currently only 1,100 Certified Plant Based products in the US.
David Behringer, Global CEO of The Simple Root, said: “It was important for us to obtain this certification for our products because it provides consumers with an easily identifiable visual indicator that the product they’re purchasing is made only from plants with no animal-derived ingredients.”
Lora Spizzirri, Chief Technology Officer of The Simple Root, added: “With so many plant-based foods for consumers to choose from, the Certified Plant Based seal gives a confidence and certainty that a product is a sustainable alternative to meat, egg, and dairy products.”
In the UK, The Simple Root sauces are also Certified Vegan by the Vegan Society.
