CEO Mike Anstey Addresses Open Innovation at FFT

Pilot Lite sponsored another Future Food-Tech (FFT) event in San Francisco. The conference in San Francisco was the biggest FFT event to date, with more than 1,600 delegates in attendance.

Our Pilot Lite booth attracted a steady stream of delegates interested in learning about PL services and our PL-backed companies, Pulpex, The Simple Root, and Simply Roasted. Sample bags of the Simply Roasted chips were a big hit! PL's approach to commercializing stranded corporate innovation resonated with many of the food & bev execs we met.

CEO and Co-Founder Mike Anstey participated as a panelist on day two of the conference, discussing the topic of Open Innovation/New Approaches to R&D and M&A with colleagues from Givaudan, King & Spalding, Puratos, Mondelēz International , and Infor. The panelists agreed that the current challenges for our food system, including food nutrition and sustainability, will be solved through the use of technology and partnerships — both traditional and alternative.
